United Way month is here! The CCC is delighted to bring in the fall with our annual giving month to benefit the United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County. This year we have a variety of events planned; some traditional and some brand new. We hope that everyone in the home and outside offices can find something that interests him or her.
In addition to our events, the United Way has also given us a new and better way to pledge directly to them. While pledge sheets will still go out this year, you can also set up your pledge record securely online here. Set up your account today!
Vacation Day
Vacation day raffles will be up again this year. We have three days to give away, but there is a twist! We will start selling raffle tickets for $5 on October 6th and will have three separate boxes that will be drawn each remaining Friday of the month (October 13th, 20th and 27th). The tickets can be put in any of the boxes, but the will not roll over week to week.
Lunch with a Manager/E-team Member new this year!
This year we will be trying a new event. Select manager/e-team members have volunteered to treat employees out to lunch at a pre-selected restaurant. The fancier the restaurant, the higher the cost of a raffle ticket. For example:
Tickets will go on sale begin on October 9th and drawing October 20th. The winners will work out with their lunch dates a date and time that works for both parties.
Silent Auction for Dinner with Bruce Miller
A special bonus silent auction item will be dinner at the restaurant of the winner’s choice with Bruce, his wife Marianne as well as the winning employee’s spouse or guest!
The auction will begin October 9th and the winner announced October 20th .

Mitten Placards for Winter Cheer Kits
For the entire month of October, the CCC will be selling paper mitten placards for $5 that will be hung in the main lobby. The money from these placards will match and used to purchase items to build Winter Cheer Kits including mittens, hot cocoa packets and books for children and older adults.
On-site Volunteer Opportunity
After items have been purchased for the Winter Cheer Kits, sign up to assemble them on November 7th! This project will take place in the main conference over your lunch hour (please be sure to clock out if you are an hourly employee). A sign-up sheet is in the hallway outside the breakroom.
