The summer has officially begun to wind down – kids are back in school; the days are shorter and the nights cooler. As the CCC wraps up the third quarter activities, we wanted to thank you all for your participation and donations that will go towards The Next Door Foundation. With your help, we raised $1,688 in employee funds. A special thank you to Tom Ehrsam who has generously matched our employee funds, so the total donation to the foundation will be $5,064. Thank you all so much! Check out the slide show from the Dunk Tank at the All Employee Meeting, the obvious favorite event of the quarter!
As reliable as the changing of the seasons, United Way month has arrived! We will be hosting a variety of fundraising events throughout October to Benefit United Way of Greater Milwaukee and Waukesha County.
Kickoff Service Event – October 2nd
Some of you may recall that last year we held an on-site service project where we made sandwiches to benefit a United Way agency. Well, we had a lot of fun so decided to do it again this year! Please join us Wednesday, October 2nd at 10:30 a.m. in a team race to make the most sandwiches. We will divide all participants into teams and the game is on! The members of the team who makes the specified number of sandwiches first wins one free vacation raffle ticket! Please sign up on the sheet outside the break room.
Note: hourly employees are not required to clock out to participate.
That’s right, this year we will be hosting a rousing game of BINGO! We will be selling physical cards for BINGO and will pull five numbers each day until a winner is named.
What are the details?
*BINGO cards will be on sale beginning October 1st for $5 per card or $10 for three cards. There is no limit to the number of cards that may be purchased.
Please note that if there are more than two winners, we will draw a winner from the pool of eligible winners

Vacation Day Raffle
We have two vacation day raffles this year. The first raffle will begin October 1st and run through October 15th. The drawing will be held October 15th at 2:30 p.m. The second raffle will begin October 21st and will go through October 31st. The second drawing will be held October 31st at 2:30 p.m. All tickets will be $5 each and may be purchased from Amy Knitter, Courtney Johnson, Dana Herdeman or Kayla Rand.
