Pump Up Your Heart Challenge

Welcome to February, the only month of the year dedicated to all aspects of your heart. While Valentine’s Day gets all the love, so to speak, February is also Heart Health Month. Heart disease causes more deaths in United States than all types of cancer combined, so it goes without saying that your heart’s health is pretty important.

In honor of Heart Health Month the NIS Wellness Committee is encouraging all employees to join the Pump Up Your Heart Challenge!

CHALLENGE:
Pump up your heart by achieving the daily step goal for ten days! Motivate yourself and fellow players to get a streak going and hit your daily step goal each day of the challenge!

START DATE: Tuesday, February 12th
END DATE: Thursday, February 21st

HOW DO YOU JOIN THE CHALLENGE?
Join MoveSpring by clicking on one of the activity levels below. MoveSpring integrates with Fitbit, Jawbone, Garmin, Misfit, Apple Watch and Withings to track steps! No fitness tracker? No problem! Use your iPhone to track your steps by downloading the MoveSpring app from the app store and selecting the iPhone option or connect through Google Fit on your Android phone to use your phone as your tracker. PLUS you can manually enter in steps from your activities using this online calculator!

CLICK ON ONE OF THE ACTIVITY LEVELS BELOW:

Walk in the Park – Average Steps Up to 7,000 – Goal 5,000 a day
Hit Your Stride – Average Steps Up to 10,000 – Goal 7,000 a day
Movers and Shakers – Average Steps Up to 15,000 – Goal 10,000 a day
Power Walkers – Average Steps 15,001 and above – Goal 15,000 a day
