Strategic Plan
Upon implementation and annually, we thoroughly analyze your data and then collaborate with you on your annual benefit goals. The result is a step-by-step strategic action plan which is drawn up and becomes the blueprint for the work.
New Client Strategic Plan Implementation:
ANALYZE
The first thing your NIS team does is gather information and analyze the structure and cohesiveness of your plan. Your consultant will run an initial health claims report, assess self-funding or fully insured options, and thoroughly evaluate any retiree benefit offerings.
SET GOALS
Next, your consultant will meet with you to learn about your goals and where you would like to see improvement. Are you seeing unsustainable increases? What do you see as the strengths and weaknesses of the benefit plan? What are your budget concerns? Does HR need support?
STRATEGY
At this stage, your NIS Consultant discusses the results of the analysis with you and confirms your goals. S/he will schedule a GAP Analysis* and Bargaining Review (if bargained). Next, a detailed step-by-step action plan is drawn up and becomes the blueprint for the work.
Current Client Annual Strategic Planning:
REVIEW
On an annual basis, your NIS Consultant will meet with you to review the prior year’s strategic plan to show what was completed and discuss how things went. Areas of concern and areas of improvement are also reviewed.
SET GOALS
Next, your consultant will meet with you to determine next steps and new goals. What budget concerns do you have? How does HR need to be supported? What is the plan for improvements?
STRATEGY
After goals and improvements are set, your NIS Consultant confirms your new plan. Another detailed step-by-step strategic action plan is drawn up and becomes the blueprint for the work for the upcoming year.
After initial benefit plan analysis or the annual review process, a comprehensive strategic plan is created and stored in our custom-built software application.
