Spring is in the Air! And Look What We Did for Sojourner Family Peace Center!

The first wisps of spring are finally in the air and with it our first quarter comes to a close. To combat our winter blues during the first dreary months of the year, the Community Connection Committee offered a whole month of casual dress down – truly the golden ticket in those blustery days. For our efforts, we were able to raise $1,700 dollars attributed solely to employee contributions for dress down month. We raised an additional $840 from our standard dress down coupons and $225 from miscellaneous raffles for a total of $5,530 with the NIS match.

All proceeds for the first quarter went to Sojourner Family Peace Center. The center’s mission is to ‘to ensure the safety of victims of family violence and provide a pathway out of violence for victims and abusers through opportunities to make positive and lasting changes for themselves and their children.’ Those at the center do some of the most challenging work imaginable by offering a range of services vital to some of the area’s most vulnerable residents. Donating to the center truly fulfills our Noble Purpose.
