Bruce Miller

President and CEO

Bruce Miller, President and CEO of National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS), believes in the old adage: the more you give, the more you receive. Bruce focuses all his energy and time on bringing value to those he serves: his clients, family, staff and community. Experience has taught Bruce to never stop seeking learning opportunities; yet, always choose to live with integrity based on altruistic principles.

Bruce entered the insurance industry as an agent while in college at Ball State University. During his career, he has worked for large and small insurance firms, as well as broker-driven and direct insurance companies. As both an individual agent and a group representative, Bruce gained experience with all types of insurance benefits from medical coverage to pensions.

Bruce enjoys leading NIS because the NIS principles and service model fit within his personal beliefs about providing value and giving back. As a public sector specialist, Bruce constantly pushes development of innovative solutions that help clients align the unique and complex benefit challenges with the hard-to-understand language and practices of insurance and investment products.

Hank Ehrsam

Vice President of Sales and Marketing

Hank Ehrsam learned from his father’s example: be honest, work hard and put family first. Everything Hank does is because of these values. As Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Hank’s role is to support growth in all regions, which he accomplishes through his dedication, persistent work ethic and creative strategic thinking.

Hank was hired by National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS), in 1993 and has worn many hats within the organization. More importantly, the majority of his career has been working with the public sector. Hank understands the economic and political pressure that governmental organizations manage daily and works diligently with his sales and marketing staff to deliver reliable solutions that bridge the gap between employer, board and bargaining unit.

David Norton

Vice President of Finance and Administration

David Norton, Vice President of Finance and Administration for National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS), began his career with NIS in 1990, shortly after attaining his MBA from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI. He entered the insurance industry because it provided opportunities to work in a variety of disciplines including financial, actuarial, underwriting, customer service and billing. David says that the single greatest contributing factor to his methodology and approach are the NIS’ core values and culture which he has absorbed since his arrival: providing friendly, technical and responsive service.

Throughout his career with NIS, David has developed a deep understanding of NIS’ various functional areas which help him appreciate the customers’, company’s and insurance carriers’ perspective. This viewpoint allows David to develop appropriate solutions to the short-term and long-term challenges facing our public sector clients

Jay Lauck

Executive Vice President

Jay Lauck, Executive Vice President of National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS), took it to heart when he read a quote by the Dalai Lama, “When you lose, don’t lose the lesson.” In sales, Jay says, you lose more than you win which allows abundant opportunities for growth. This attitude has made Jay what he is today: trustworthy, compassionate, dedicated and analytical. Whether he’s with his family, participating in a charitable cause or advising a client on investment strategy, Jay’s life experience has taught him not to push, instead to listen; not to indulge in self-importance, but to be down-to-earth; not to judge, rather, to understand.

Jay entered the insurance industry at 23 years old, fresh out of Notre Dame with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He received his MBA from Ball State and eventually became a Regional Vice President for AUL (American United Life) until 1988. Around this time, Jay took charge of an educator-focused retirement services agency in Minnesota, and later another agency in Wisconsin. He was skilled at building relationships with the existing client base and quickly expanded the agencies. In 2003, Jay sold the Minnesota portion of the agency and merged the remaining operations with NIS where he found a permanent home.

Jay is a Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) and Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC). He is also a licensed insurance agent, a registered representative with GWN Securities and holds Series 7, 24, 63 and 65 securities license.

Stephanie Laudon

Regional Vice President


Stephanie Laudon has experience you can count on. Since 1987, Stephanie has provided public sector organizations with employee benefit solutions and top-notch service. From her first days as a Service Representative to becoming a Regional Vice President, Stephanie has prided herself on being honest and accommodating. She successfully maintains balance with work, family and community.

Stephanie is a licensed insurance representative, specializing in Disability Insurance, Life Insurance, Dental Insurance and Section 125 plans for groups in Wisconsin, North Dakota, Northern Illinois and Florida. She serves on boards for the CESA Foundation, National Insurance Company of Wisconsin and the St. Monica Annual Fund.

Rob Keller

Senior Regional Vice President


Rob Keller learned early that advocating for his clients, along with candid, simple honesty, set him apart from others in the employee benefits field. Rob joined National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS) in 1990 as a Sales Representative, opening the Minnesota office in 1991. His strong leadership helped cultivate the region into NIS’ largest market today.

Rob currently serves as Senior Regional Vice President. While managing his team, he also works closely with 20 of NIS’s biggest groups in Minnesota, meets with new groups, participates in strategic planning and maintains insurance carrier relationships. Rob is a licensed Insurance Representative specializing in Life, Disability, Dental and Medical Insurance, as well as employer-sponsored 403(b) plans and HRAs for schools, cities and counties in Minnesota and Nevada.

Steve Ott

Regional Vice President


Steve Ott, licensed Insurance and Securities representative, values hard work and determination – traits he learned while growing up on a farm in central Nebraska and later from participating in collegiate sports. Living life with integrity, doing the right thing and giving back are core principles instilled by his parents and several mentors.

Because of these learned values and his work ethic, Steve quickly rose to his current position, Regional Vice President, after starting with National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS) in 1996 as an Account Representative. Steve specializes in Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Special Pay, HRAs and 403(b)s for school districts, cities and counties in Nebraska, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri and South Dakota.

Mark Williams

Regional Vice President


Mark Williams, Regional Vice President of National Insurance Services (NIS), knows the challenges facing his public sector clients. Coming from a family of teachers, he understands how important benefits can be, but he also understands the political and financial realities school administrators face. That’s why Mark and NIS are a great fit. Mark shares in the NIS values of outstanding service and innovative solutions; or as he says, “Doing what you say you’re going to do.”

Mark leads a team of committed benefits professionals who serve school districts, cities and counties throughout Connecticut, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Michigan, New Hampshire, New Jersey and Virginia . He is a licensed insurance agent, holds a CLTC (Certified in Long-Term Care) designation and has won numerous awards for leadership and sales achievements. Mark has also founded and chaired a mentoring program to help managers develop their leadership skills.

David Branback

Director of Market Development, Retirement Income


David Branback, Director with National Insurance Services of Wisconsin, Inc. (NIS), has worked with over 212 public sector organizations and is considered an expert in health insurance solutions using Health Reimbursement Arrangements (HRAs) and GASB 43 OPEB Trusts. For the past 9 years David has helped execute over 447 public sector employer plans in 7 states. He was the first to implement HRA plans in the state of Wisconsin beginning in 2002.

With his prior 28 years experience in public education including school finance, David designs solutions with employers in mind. His solutions have features that allow flexibility during negotiations that address both the employer’s and the bargaining unit’s interests.

David is a licensed insurance agent and registered financial representative with GWN Securities. He often speaks at national, state and regional conferences about his innovative solutions for schools and other governmental organizations.

Bill Enright

Director of Consulting Services


Bill Enright, Director of Consulting Services for National Insurance Services, Inc. (NIS), coordinates and works with NIS’ Market Development Teams to enhance our full-service employee benefits capabilities. Bill’s expertise enables the NIS team to deliver customized, innovative employee benefits plans for schools, cities, towns and counties.

Bill has spent over 25 years building solutions as well as helping clients and agents navigate the complex world of employee benefits. He believes in bottom-line honesty while empowering customers with the knowledge they need to feel confident in their decisions. He has been published on the topic of healthcare reform, and has served on advisory committees and insurance reform lobbying groups at the state and national level.
