National Insurance Services and the Minnesota School Boards Association:

Partners in Teacher and Support Staff Benefits Since 1980

In 1980, the Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) endorsed National Insurance Services, Inc. (NIS) as the preferred provider for Life and Long-Term Disability Insurance for all Minnesota school districts. This historic partnership is still in place today, after more than 30 years.

This unprecedented long-term endorsement has lasted for many reasons, but mainly because NIS supports the MSBA goal of promoting and enhancing the work of public school boards and public education. In fact, when you choose NIS for your teacher and support staff benefits, a portion of the cost is remitted back to the MSBA to further their work.

How can Minnesota school districts benefit from
the MSBA and NIS partnership?

Trust in NIS, knowing that your association, the MSBA, has endorsed the plans since 1980.

The Minnesota School Boards Association Insurance Trust (MSBAIT) endorses NIS plans as well.

Advice from NIS, a school district specialist since 1969.

Confidence in service: because NIS retains 96% of their school customers every year and 98.6% of clients would recommend NIS to other school districts.

Innovative, custom plans to meet the unique needs of schools and educators
